Founded in 2013 in Canada, Ionada™ develops, manufactures, and markets Membrane Scrubber™ systems for the marine and power generation industries.
Ionada's team includes international scientists, engineers and technicians that have developed breakthroughs in membrane technologies for emission reductions.
Ionada™, pronounced [ i- o-nada] is a portmanteau of the words "ion absorption desorption abatement."
In 2010, with the support of the National Research Council Canada-Transport Canada, University of Waterloo, Ryerson University, research began into a zero discharge exhaust gas scrubbing technology. In 2013 the research team led by Edoardo Panziera P.Eng, produced the first functioning SOx membrane scrubber. The results were promising enough to attract the first angel investor which led to the spin out and founding of Ionada Incorporated to commercialize the technology.
Our vision is to be recognized as an international marine scrubber industry leader in bringing innovative green marine technologies to the marketplace.
Ionada's mission is to provide emission abatement technologies that not only keeps our air and waters clean, but also provides a financial benefit to our customers.
A commitment to sustainability, integrity, ethics, safety, and positive change.
