March 5, 2014 - Ionada Incorporated (“Ionada”) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Pilot Test Agreement with a Canadian shipping company, to install, evaluate and test its membrane separation scrubber technology aboard a bulk cargo ship.  Testing of the pilot unit is expected to commence in early 2015 with completion expected in the third quarter of 2015.

"The pilot demonstration of our technology is a significant milestone towards the commercial deployment of our technology for sulfur dioxide reduction and compliance to IMO Marpol Annex VI regulations." said Edoardo Panziera, President and CEO of Ionada.

Ionada has developed a marine membrane scrubber technology that allows shipowners to easily and economically comply with new international emission standards. The technology is simpler and cheaper to install and operate compared to other approaches. Furthermore, the market potential for Ionada’s technology is $32 billion and has an 18-month payback.
